I Built a QR Code Analytics Tool Because I Was Tired of Guessing
It's been a wild ride. Full feature set is complete.
I run a small Etsy shop. Physical products, real customers, QR codes on everything. Packaging, inserts, business cards.
For a long time I had no idea if any of them were being scanned. I'd print a thousand inserts, ship them out, and just hope. No data. No feedback. Nothing.
So I built a tool.
The Problem With QR Code Generators
QRStats.io started as a personal problem. I needed to know which QR codes were working, where scans were coming from, and whether my packaging was driving traffic or just ending up in the trash.
Every QR code generator I found was either bloated enterprise software or a basic free tool with zero tracking. Nobody was building something simple with real QR code analytics baked in.
I wanted scan tracking, location data, device breakdowns, and the ability to change a destination URL without reprinting anything. Dynamic QR codes with actual reporting. So I built it myself.
What QRStats Does
Create a QR code, point it at any URL, and track every scan from that point forward. You get:
- Real-time scan tracking across all your QR codes
- Geographic location data so you know where your audience is
- Device and browser breakdowns for every campaign
- Full campaign management from one clean dashboard
No fluff. No enterprise sales call. No 47-step onboarding.
Dynamic QR Codes That Actually Work
The dynamic QR code feature alone is worth it. Change your destination URL whenever you want. Your printed QR code stays the same.
Running a seasonal promotion? Swap the link. Tested a landing page that flopped? Redirect it. No reprint required.
Who This Is For
Small business owners, marketers, anyone running:
- Print campaigns or packaging inserts
- Restaurant menus or event flyers
- Business cards with QR codes
If you've ever wondered whether your QR code marketing is doing anything, this is the answer.
Try It Free
Free plan available. No credit card needed to start tracking QR code scans.
I'm one person building this. Feedback goes directly to the person who wrote the code, and new features actually ship.
It took me a week to build the first version. Took a lot longer to make it worth writing about.
